Seven generations after our Founder, Mr Charles Washington Shirley Deakin developed the first product range, the business is today owned and managed by the brothers James and Henry Deakin who produce cufflinks and fine quality handmade jewellery in their English workshops. James (sitting in the photo) and Henry (standing) Deakin are both fully qualified in gemology. James Deakin studied at the Gemological Institute of America and is a Graduate Jeweler Gemologist. Henry Deakin studied gemology at the International Gemological Institute in Vicenza and is a Graduate Gemologist and Designer. Since 1786 the team of manufacturing jewellers and silversmiths at Deakin & Francis™ has created over 1,000 cufflink designs for business people, celebrities and members of royalty worldwide. Styles include gold and silver cufflinks, through to full dress sets in platinum and diamonds. Deakin & Francis™ cufflinks range from fun and funky to classic collections. Stockists include Harrods and other well known international department stores. Metals used for cuff-links include Yellow Gold, White Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Platinum. Deakin and Francis also designs cufflinks and jewellery incorporating vitreous enamel and fine gemstones. Gemstones for cuff links include Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Pearl and Semi-Precious stones. Gemstones for cufflinks are cut in many ways from the round brilliant cut diamond to emerald cut. Other cuts include the Asher, Radiant, Princess, Marquise, Swiss, square, eight, old, old mine or the rare Tycoon cut. Stones can be pear shape, Oval, heart shape, Baguette or even tapered baguette.
