RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY



Before placing an order with us it is important you check the Product details to make sure the Product meets your requirements. If you are unsure about anything or wish to contact us for any reason, you can do so by calling 0121 236 9430 between 09.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday except Bank Holidays in England or by emailing us at: help@cufflinks1786.co.uk

•    If you return a Product to us because you have cancelled the Contract between us within the seven-day cooling-off period (see our full Terms & Conditions), we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation. In this case, we will refund the price of the Product in full, including the cost of sending the item to you.  However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.


•    If you return a Product to us for any other reason (for instance, because you have notified us under our full Terms & Conditions that you do not agree to any change in these terms and conditions or in any of our policies, or because you claim that the Product is defective), we will examine the returned Product and will notify you of your refund via e-mail within a reasonable period of time.  We will usually process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day we confirmed to you via e-mail that you were entitled to a refund for the defective Product.


•    Products returned by you because of a defect will be refunded in full, including a refund of the delivery charges for sending the item to you and the cost incurred by you in returning the item to us.


•    We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.


RETURNS
Please follow this policy:

1.    Email returns@cufflinks1786.co.uk and request a Return Reference Number, this must be within 7 days of delivery. If you do not have a Return Reference Number you cannot return the goods.


2.    You will be emailed a Returns Form with your Return Reference Number which you need to complete in full.


3.    Securely re-package the goods in the original packaging (including items individually wrapped) and ensure the goods do not move around inside the box and that the outer box is completely and securely sealed.


4.    Make sure the Returns Form is enclosed inside the package.


5.    Use a secure and insured delivery method such as a courier or Royal Mail Special Delivery. Please note that you will need to make sure insurance for the value of the goods is obtained as Deakin & Francis will not be held liable for the loss of any items or parcels.


6.    Once we have received the goods we will refund the amount due to your credit card. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Refunds will be made within 30 days of the date of cancellation notice. The cost of any undamaged and unworn products, correctly returned will be credited to the original purchaser's credit card, including sales taxes for all EU country shipments but excluding shipping charges.



Please note
•    Deakin & Francis will not accept returns for any items that have been worn, damaged or have had their tags removed. Upon receipt of an order, if any item has been received with no tags, or is in anyway damaged, you should notify us (by phone or email) immediately.


•    Custom and bespoke items, where you have created your own cufflinks or commission a special piece of jewellery from us, cannot be exchanged or returned under any circumstances.


•    We are not able to refund international customs duties and sales taxes outside the European Community (EU).



Defects, Damaged or Faulty Goods
We have a team who check every item of fine jewellery leaving our manufacturing base and in over 200 years of trading we have never had goods returned due to being faulty or damaged. However, on the rare occasion where this may occur, please follow this policy.
1.    If possible, photograph the damage and email to returns@cufflinks1786.co.uk so that we can assess the situation.


2.    Email returns@cufflinks1786.co.uk and request a Return Reference Number, this must be within 7 days of delivery. If you do not have a Return Reference Number you cannot return the goods.


3.    You will be emailed a Returns Form with your Return Reference Number which you need to complete in full.

7.    Faulty items will only be accepted if the goods are delivered to the customer damaged, or if there is a subsequent manufacturing fault within a period of 6 months after delivery. All items returned as faulty will be inspected, and any item displaying damage deemed to be a result of fair wear and tear will not be accepted as faulty.


8.    Where possible, items may be repaired on request but only where such items are deemed faulty and repairable. Repairs do not come with any guarantees.


9.    It may be possible for us to repair items which have suffered wear and tear. There will be a charge for this service, which is to cover the cost of shipping and any other costs incurred.


    
Exchanges
•    If you would like to exchange your purchase for an alternative item, please contact us returns@cufflinks1786.co.uk.


•    Exchange items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and have undergone a quality control check.


•    You will be charged for any difference in cost, plus any additional shipping, taxes and import duties.
